Jimmy Sallis

I started my angling life back in the mid 90’s spending all of my fishing time with my Dad & Grandad on a small section of the River Arrow. We caught plenty of Chub, eel and the odd Brown Trout which the landowner has stocked.
It wasn’t until my Grandad passed away around 10 years ago that I decided I wanted to branch out and give fishing a real go. Only ever ledgering with worm or paste my knowledge was limited but with plenty of time on my hands I explored float fishing & continuing to ledger for more Chub & Barbel on my local River Avon.

From Chub & Barbel I now like to spend my session targeting predators in the simplest ways possible. I know have a young family & free time has become less available to me. Fishing for predators and lack of bank time has led me toward learning the craft of lure fishing. The most important thing for me with fishing is just getting out and enjoying my time on the bank or boat. I try not to set myself targets but always try and have an aim when I leave for the river. Now being part of Korum I hope my experience in all aspect of angling grows and my love for the sport continues.
