Remember the name, as James Champkin is quickly becoming one of the UK's most impressive specimen anglers and we are delighted to have him join our existing team of experts.

James is an out-and-out big specimen hunter, with numerous big fish to his name and a particular expertise for opportunist, sight-fishing. He embodies the Korum philosophy to 'fish for everything' and is pretty good at it, too!

Over the last few years James has been an Angling Times regular, with numerous specimen fish featuring in their catch pages. Additionally, James has won six weekly Drennan Cup awards, all for different species, proving his worth as a true all-rounder.

In 2014, James was voted runner-up in the 'Specimen Angler of the Year Award' by readers of Angling Times and in 2015 won the Daiwa Specimen Shield for captures of specimen fish in Scotland.

Korum Brand Manager, Mat Woods, had this to say about Korum's latest signing:

"This is yet another high calibre addition to our specimen angler line up. James has been on our radar for some time and has proven his worth on many occasions, not only with big fish captures but with his attitude and ambition to succeed.

"We look forward to working alongside James and listening to his ideas on products and promoting our brand in the future."

James, who is currently a Campaigns Officer for the Angling Trust, is equally excited about working with Team Korum.

"I feel privileged to have come on board with Korum. They’ve got some fantastic products in a range that is growing all the time, and I’m really looking forward to putting my specimen angling experience to use in helping the company create some more specialist tools to help people put more big fish on the bank."
