Korum's team of specialist anglers is the strongest in the business and we are delighted to announce our latest recruit to that team.

29-year-old Harry Pardoe is a young and upcoming specimen angler with a great big fish pedigree.

"Over the years I have used many of Korum’s products from the Xpert accessories, rods, chairs and the superb luggage, they cover pretty much all my angling needs so to be asked to represent the Korum team is an absolute honour," says Harry.

“With time being tight as it is with most anglers due to work and family commitments I try to get out on the bank as often as I can, once maybe twice a week even if it’s only for a few hours. However, over the years these short sessions have served me well amassing several Personal Bests that I could only have dreamt of when first starting out”.

Harry has caught British Carp to 40lb+, double figure Bream, Chub to 6-12 and 2lb+ river Roach to name a few.

"My most memorable capture is a fish of a lifetime which was a Barbel of 16lb 6oz from the Trent.  These species see me through most of the warmer months but as the temperatures start to drop I start to think about the predators as do many an angler, with Perch to 3lb 13oz and Pike to 20+ I’ve not done too badly but with definite room for improvement, I will enjoy trying to hunt them out with a double figure Zander being priority this winter”.

“I have also been lucky enough to have had some fantastic trips around the world from an early age, from Catfishing and Carping in Spain or France to catching 11ft Sturgeon in British Columbia Canada, I've even had the chance to test myself against a Great White Shark which was awesome!!"

Harry's angling journey began at the tender age of 4 when his father took him for the first time, and since them he has been obsessed. Between the ages of 12 and his early 20s, Harry was a keen match angler fishing locally on the river Blythe, he then moved onto captaining Birmingham Starlets and even had trials for England at the age of 14.

However, as match fishing became more commercial he longed to get back on to flowing water.

“Holidays to the Severn were an annual treat and this is where I started to lose the urge to match Fish and just get out as often as I could, targeting by far my favourite of species, the Barbel”.

“If it swims I will try and catch it."

Korum’s Mat Woods is excited to have Harry as part of the team:

“We’ve been really impressed with Harry. He is a gifted angler and can turn his hand to many species and different fishing techniques. He has an enviable list of personal bests, but we think there are still many more big fish to come. Harry is young, energetic and catching numbers of fish all the time. We’re looking forward to working together."
