30 minutes was all it took for Ant Molyneux to bag two stunning park-lake carp!
Making the most of limited time, Ant baited with broken Code Red boilies only a couple of yards from the bank, flicked his baited rig over the top.
After only 10minutes the spool of his neoteric reel started spinning as a hooked fish powered off into the lake. After a short battle a good common slid over the net.
“I was made up once the fish went in the net. It was an awesome fish from a pond only 5 minutes from my front door!” commented Ant.
On the scales the fish weighed 23lb 4oz, and after a few quick pictures it was returned back into the small pond.
The rod had only been back in the water for 10minutes before it was off again. Another powerful fish had picked up the Raspberry Ripple Pop Up and was making its way up the lake!
The strong fish made several hard runs before finally being engulfed into the waiting net.
“The second fish looked longer than the common that I’d just had. I couldn’t believe that I’d managed to bag two good fish from a tiny park lake on my first session!” Ant remarked.
The second fish weighed 23lb 14oz – a stunning old mirror carp. Another fish that couldn’t resist the Raspberry Ripple Pop ups!
