Korum's Dai Gribble managed to add yet another double figure tench to his tally recently. Dai made the long drop down to Kent from his Staffordshire home, in search of a specimen tench.
“The trip down took over four hours, a combination of the M25, accidents and lane closures made for a long journey. It was a relief to finally arrived at the complex to get my first look at the venue.” comment's Dai.
“With four lakes on the complex there was plenty of choice, and I was soon set up in a swim. I opted to fish with Sonubaits Pineapple Oozing Boilies on the hair. I will put two of these 10mm boilies on a size 10 Korum Specimen hook. These are used on a short 6ins hooklink tied using 8lb Korum Xpert Power Mono. This hooklink is used in conjunction with a Korum Grub Feeder.”
The Korum rod managed to slip his net under a 10lb 2oz tench on the first morning, backed up with tench of 9lb 2oz and 7lb 2oz. Dai even managed to slip the net under a 22lb 7lb ghostie.
“I can't ask for much more on my first session to the lake! I'll certainly be making the long journey back to Kent before long!”
